Cortland Oral Surgery
In these trying times, Cortland Oral Surgery continues to provide quality surgical care while following CDC guidelines to protect patients and staff from the coronavirus. We have always maintained state of the art sterilization and surface decontamination practices but have upped our game by using the Pax 2000X Extraoral DentalSuction System during aerosol generating proceures, reconfiguring the office to allow for social distancing, and changed the protocols for check in and patient screening. Although there have been no documented cases of disease transference through clothing or inanimate objects, we have removed any items from our facility that could potentially be contaminated, and our staff is fitted with face masks, eye protection, head coverings and gowns. The greatest potential for contamination is from other people, and we have taken steps to monitor the health of staff and patients to lessen your exposure and to prevent disease transmission. When you contact the office, you will be instructed in how to check in so that we can maintain social distancing and efficiently complete your dental procedure. Masks are required to enter the office and all staff and patients are required to fill out a Covid-19 questionnaire and will have their temperature checked. Only the patient is allowed to enter the office (or one parent if the patient is a minor). It will be inconvenient, uncomfortable and certainly doesn’t help alleviating anxiety or establishing a relationship with our patients, but the goal is to keep you safe. Hopefully we can return to a warmer, friendlier appearance in the near future. We will get through this together, and we will keep you healthy in the process.
